Al was appointed by The Governor and ODOT to important transportation advisory committees. Al is working with the County and ODOT on the Foothills Road Project. Al worked tirelessly on the Bear Creek Greenway project and helped secure funds for the Bridge Over Barnett to increase public safety and decrease traffic problems. In addition, Al has been seeking funding for improvements on Springbrook Road and its alignment with Delta Waters.
Al and his fellow Council Members helped achieve consolidation of city and county Dispatch System, providing better emergency services and saving financial resources to both the county and the city.
Together Al and his fellow City Council Members helped secure Federal grants necessary to complete the bridge across Barnett for completion of the Bear Creek Greenway project, providing better safety for pedestrians and automobiles.
Al and his fellow City Council members assumed Medford Urban Renewal Agency, reducing overhead and tripling the budget for the facade improvement programs, which will provide a more vibrant and rejuvenated Downtown, and influence new visitors to our core area while improving economic development.
